- An active CA License is required.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts: 7a, 7p
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per every 6 weeks.
- Holidays: Must work a major and a minor.
- Unit Specific Information
- - # beds: 18 LDRP rooms + 6 triage spaces + 8 beds shared with med surg that are women's care center overflow such as hysters, slings, etc, 2 OR rooms that nurses self circulate.
- - Certs required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, advanced fetal monitoring.
- - Ratios: Follow CA state guidelines; 4 to 1 couplets, 3 to 1 stable antepartums; 2 to 1 L&D; 1 to 1 for deliveries (a second NRP nurse is in every birth so nurse not only nurse in delivery).
- - Common diagnoses / Types of patients: Will take L&D, recovery, postpartum, women's health patients; high risk OB, transfer out for major maternal or fetal complications if mom has major cardiac issue or baby needs surgery; recovering of babies.
- - Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts is baseline on the unit; GNOSIS is an online training for all OB nurses; will also train with the perinatology safety specialists.
- - L&D nurses must do antepartum, L&D postpartum.

- Prefer candidates with CERNER charting experience.
- Baby friendly hospital: immediate skin to skin and initiate breast feeding asap.
