Description
Memorial Cancer Institute (MCI), part of Memorial Healthcare System, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Physician Assistant to join its growing team. MCI is recognized by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and is a designated Cancer Center of Excellence by the Florida Department of Health. The selected candidate will collaborate with a comprehensive team of dedicated breast medical and breast surgical oncologists to provide world class care in an outpatient setting. Under the general supervision of a physician, the provider will be responsible for new patient visits, post-operative, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated breast medical or surgical oncology experience, and the knowledge and ability to see patients independently. Candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master's equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend or call expectations. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
