MedStar Health is looking for a Vice President of Philanthropy to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center!

As a Vice President of Philanthropy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing MedStar Health's philanthropic strategy and will be dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, foundations, and corporations. Also, implementing strategic fundraising initiatives to support the mission and goals of the organization.

Primary Duties:

·         Serves on the entity executive team as the VP of Philanthropy. Work closely with the entity executive team to integrate and execute philanthropic goals into the annual operating plan of the organization.

·         Partners with the Regional VP for Philanthropy and the VP for Grants to develop and support the execution of grant strategy, closely aligned with the organization's strategic and adjacent services.

·         Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including hospital leadership, clinical departments, and administrative teams, to identify funding priorities and develop compelling proposals for philanthropic support. Build strategic partnerships with community organizations, and other institutions to advance shared healthcare objectives.

·         Partners closely with external stakeholders, including members of the Board of Directors for MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, and the philanthropy committee, to support the philanthropy revenue goals of the organization.

·         Develops and implements thoughtful, strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for prospective donors for gifts of $1M+. Ensures regular contact with donors through various activities and communications, especially face to face meetings. Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

·         Meets annual activity and financial performance metrics.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

·         Minimum of 7 years of experience in philanthropy, ideally within a healthcare system required

·         CFRE certification or equivalent preferred
