Job Summary:

As a Supply Chain Service Interventional Project Coordinator, you will maintain an accurate and functional storeroom and all its activities associated with the Supply Chain process. Assists in the Development and maintenance of an effective inventory management system for various departments throughout the facility. Primary Duties: 

  • Maintains a perpetual inventory through accurate inventory transactions and inventory levels within appropriate limits, oversees inventory control for all assigned areas and departments. Meets regularly with various Department Directors/Managers to review individual stocking needs and make inventory adjustments as indicated. Consistently communicates all appropriate information regarding new products/substitutions/stock shortages and stock outages to the various department heads/supervisors and MM Manager. 

  • Assures all data entered inventory control system is accurately entered within the same day of the transaction. Provides continual Educational Services to End Users, Materials Handlers, and Storeroom Clerks in the utilization of our inventory system both individually and collectively. Will be required to initiate quarterly training and review for the Materials Management staff in areas in which we can improve our process and strengthen our department. Performs daily physical inventory adjustments as needed of supplies kept in MM storeroom area to ensure accuracy of the perpetual inventory and its levels. Coordinates all necessary or requested projects as it relates to our Customer and Storeroom needs to better the Supply Chain efficiencies including New Customer setup.  

  • Reviews Inventory Maintenance and Quality Assurance tasks assigned Storeroom Clerks to ensure that supplies are kept at an acceptable inventory level, any problem brought immediately to MM Manager's attention. Recommendations and quality education should be done with each adjustment based on a product-by-product scenario. Places electronic orders for the replenishment of supplies using the recommended replenishment order from the MMIS. Through contact with our Purchasing Department and/or vendor, ensure supplies are received promptly. Evaluates daily inventory transactions for demand changes and error reconciliation.  

  • Ensures that the annual physical inventory is recorded in accordance with internal audit standards, and that data is analyzed within the agreed upon time. Provides regular monthly reports detailing inventory value, significant changes in utilization, etc. Produces ad hoc reports, as needed. Identifies and suggests items in which can be eliminated from the MM Storeroom. Establishes and maintains an excellent working relationship with all departmental customers. Serves as liaison and resource to assigned departments regarding their material needs.  

  • Responds to all customer complaints within the same working day. Assures that requests for par level adjustments occur within one week of the request. Provides all areas served with written data to re-establish par levels regularly, as needed. Participates in multi-disciplinary committees as assigned. Qualifications: 

  • Associate's degree in business or related field. 

  • 3-5 years inventory or materials management experience in a hospital setting with documented accomplishments. 

  • Project management experience preferred. 



This position has a hiring range of $41,953 - $72,883
