Are you looking for an opportunity to improve your critical thinking and fundamental skills? Come join us at MedStar Washington Hospital Center for our Summer 2023 Student Nurse Extern Cohort!
The Nurse Extern Winter 2024 Cohort will begin on December 16, 2024 and conclude on January 10, 2025. There will be a mandatory skills day on Friday, December 20, 2024 (attendance is required on this day). You will be working 36 to 40 hours per week. After successful completion of the cohort, you will have the opportunity to remain on staff, in a flexible position, leading up to graduation.
Official Start Date: Monday, 12/16
Required In-Person Skills Day: Friday, 12/20
Date range for entire 4 - week program: 12/16 - 1/10 (Must be available up to 40 hours per week, with no conflicts, from 12/20 through 1/10)
Qualifications for position:
Education:
Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program and in good standing. Completed at least one semester of medical-surgical clinical.
Experience:
None
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required.
This position has a hiring range of $20.120 - $20.120
