**This position is for PRN NIGHTS (2- 12-hour shifts in a 6-week period) **MUST HAVE CVICU EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION**

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for critical care? MedStar Union Memorial Hospital's Cardiovascular ICU is seeking dedicated nurses to join our elite team. Unit Overview:
8-Bed Unit:
Our specialized Cardiovascular ICU is equipped with the latest technology and staffed by a dedicated team of NPs, PAs, Intensivists, and Surgeons.
Collaborative Care:
We pride ourselves on our nurse-physician teamwork and true interdisciplinary model of care. Our team rounds three times daily to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Shift Structure:
Enjoy a work-life balance with three 12-hour straight shifts, offering both day/night and straight nights options.
Patient Care:
Case Variety:
You'll care for patients undergoing traditional open heart surgery, catheter-based valve replacement, high-end vascular surgeries, and thoracic procedures.
Skills Required:
This is a fast-paced environment that demands strong critical thinking skills and proficiency in rhythm recognition.

Qualifications:
Current RN licensure
Experience in an ICU setting, preferably with cardiovascular patients
Strong skills in rhythm recognition and critical thinking

 Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
