The Department of Neurology at MedStar Health is recruiting for a Regional Medical Director for our rapidly expanding Neurology service line in the Baltimore Region. We are seeking a leader ready to deliver a patient-centered experience and who is constantly striving to deliver excellence in clinical care.
The Baltimore region with MedStar Health is comprised of 4 facilities:
MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is a 348-bed acute care medical center and is Comprehensive Stroke Certified. MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital has 137 beds. MedStar Harbor Hospital has 139 beds, and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital has 192 beds.
Over the past four years, MedStar Health has created a dedicated Neuro-ICU, Neurovascular, and Vascular Neurosurgical group. Our Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, and Neuromuscular Divisions continue to grow, becoming ABRET-accredited, beginning a multi-disciplinary clinic for Huntington's Disease, a functional Neurosurgical program, and a multi-disciplinary ALS clinic.
Additionally, with an experienced full-time research coordinator, the Neurology Department eagerly awaits your interests in research!
As part of the MedStar Health system, you will be eligible for an academic appointment with Georgetown University Medical Center. As part of the MedStar Health system, we coordinate routinely with colleagues in our system, including the Department of Neurology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, taking advantage of scale and diverse interests in clinical care, research, and education.
The Regional Director candidate must be Board Certified in Neurology and should have at least five years of experience. The Regional Director will report to the Physician Executive Director for Neurology for the MedStar Health system.
