General Summary of Position

MedStar Health Physical Therapy (MHPT) “Top Talent” Early Hire Program

MedStar Health Physical Therapy is looking for future physical therapist graduates from the 2023/2024 DPT class to join the largest non-profit, hospital-based, outpatient network in Brandywine, MD!

Join MedStar Health Physical Therapy now as a clinic assistant, and become eligible to participate in educational opportunities including, but not limited to:

• Shadowing physicians or therapists;
• Sideline coverage opportunities;
• Participation in specialty educational PODs;
• Participation in EOL (Environment of Learning) mentorship program;
• Community outreach;
• Priority on clinical affiliations.
• Participating in community outreach events such as Running recovery zones, Community fairs and Job fairs; and
• Being a MedStar Health ambassador to others in the community

Once you become a PT you will also participate in:

• Selected mentoring opportunities with specialists
• Selected mentoring opportunities with system leadership
• Travel, lodging, and registration for the APTA CSM conference the year following employment as a Physical Therapist in accordance with MHPT's travel and expense policies

For your commitment to full-time employment for at least 12-months as a Physical Therapist after graduation, you will receive a bonus of $15,000, subject to applicable tax withholdings, and payable in three installments, as follows:

• The first installment of $5,000 will be paid upon initial hire as a clinic assistant;
• The second installment of $5,000 will be paid after completing ninety (90) days of employment as a Physical Therapist OP;
• The third and final installment of $5,000 will be paid after completing six (6) months of employment as a Physical Therapist OP.
