Description
General Summary of Position
Evaluates drugs prescribed by physicians for appropriateness of dose, therapeutic efficacy, allergy, drug interaction, and contraindications. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all medicine-use-related activities to ensure appropriate distribution of medications. All areas of responsibility are subject to review by a licensed pharmacist.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Pharm.D. student actively enrolled in a program from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy. required
Experience
- Less than 1 year 6 months experience in a hospital setting required
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified by a national pharmacy technician certification program required and
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Maryland required or
- has been granted required or
- is eligible for, a pharmacy student exemption from pharmacy technician registration by the State of MD required and
- PharmD student actively in a program from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy. required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
This position has a hiring range of $17.5 - $27.23
