Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is looking for a Patient Navigator to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square in Physician Practice- Interventional GI.

This position is responsible for the coordination of patient care, scheduling, and provide administrative support to physicians and staff. This role serves as a patient advocate, ensuring smooth access to care and assisting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.

Primary Duties:

· Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including office visits, specialists, pre- and post-operative, and procedural appointments.

· Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.

· Provide administrative support, including answering phones, managing calendars, and composing documents.

· Handle referral calls and streamline access to care.

· Maintain patient records and upload relevant documents into the EHR system.

· Communicate pre-visit information to patients, including financial responsibility and necessary preparations.

· Assist with scheduling and communicating surgical and procedural information to the team and patients.

· Participate in meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Education: Associate degree

· CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO AN APPROPRIATE COMBINATION OF EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 

· Experience: Previous experience as a Patient Registrar or Administrative Assistant in a medical clinical office is preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $20.17 - $35.04
