a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team!
Under the guidance of the Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a full range of nuclear scans.

Primary Duties:
Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients. Fill hypodermic syringe with specified amount of isotope and tagging component.
Observe strict precautions in handling isotopes to safeguard against overexposure to radiation. Follow recommended guidelines of nuclear regulatory commission (NRC). Operate gamma camera and related computers.
Keep records of test conducted, test results, use, and disposition of isotopes. Must be available for on-call assignments, as needed.
Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards. Follows the hospital exposure control plans/Blood borne and airborne pathogens.
Promotes an effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have completed an approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification.
Current Maryland State License.
This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52
