Description
Assists Manager and Medical Director in coordinating daily activities of vascular laboratory, including delegating duties and assisting in evaluating the performance of more junior lab personnel. Provides training/orientation for new staff as required. Performs full range of duties of staff Non-Invasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory Technician.
Education
- Completion of an ARDMS recognized school in vascular technology, with knowledge of symptomatology, the disease process, anatomy and medical terminology required
- 1-2 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience in non-invasive vascular laboratory performing vascular procedures. Work experience can be substituted for new grads with at least one year internship experience required
- Registration as a Peripheral Vascular Technician by the ARDMS within 180 Days required
- RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist within 180 Days required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
