Job Summary:

MedStar Health is looking for a Weekend (3pm- 11pm) Part Time Mechanic Journeyman to join our team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital! Performs a variety of general (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry) and preventative maintenance on hospital facilities and equipment as well as some related new construction and renovation work.

Primary Duties:

•       Perform General maintenance Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry works to keep the Hospital in effective working order.
•       Perform Painting of walls, Ceiling repairs, Doors and Fixtures
•      Basic Knowledge of the PEVCO Tube Station and Fire Alarm System
•       Perform Preventive Maintenance and general building maintenance duties of assigned locations, to ensure efficient and safe operation of facility and grounds.
•      Verbal and written communication skills
•       Basic Computer skills is required for the work order system to complete all assigned maintenance requests.
•       Perform other related duties and assigned in order to meet the needs of the Department.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of acceptable training.
• Demonstrated competency in board areas.
• 3-4 years' experience.
• Journeyman License in either Electrician, HVAC, Plumber.
