Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate information within department's scheduling system. Also will be responsible for interviewing, hiring and evaluating staff as well as managing the Float Pool Office and PRN associates and schedules.

Primary Duties:

·       Manages the operations of the float pool office and PRN supplemental associates. in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met for departments within the division of operations.

·       Directs, manages, and provides culturally competent, quality leadership to non-clinical float pool staff.

·       Oversees and maintains the accuracy of the information within the departments scheduling system.

·       Responsible for new and ongoing training.

·       Oversees the API Payroll system. Delegates and manages work appropriately.

·       Manages Staffing Matrices for efficient utilization for staffing departments within the division of operations.

·       Directs and supervises the staffing associates in scheduling and staffing functions to ensure exemplary interpersonal relations and performance standards are met.

·       Interviews, hires, and evaluates staffing associates, coordinators, and supervisors to ensure standards of performance and staffing practice performance standards are fully met and performance improvement opportunities are identified, initiated, and evaluated.

·       Collaborates with senior management, human resources, payroll and finance in the planning, implementation and evaluation of changes that impact leader's ability to meet staffing and scheduling requirements and effectively utilize human resources in a cost-effective manner.

·       Reports to the Senior Director, Support Services.

Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.

·       1-2 years in a hospital or healthcare setting required.

·       Experience and knowledge of scheduling and staffing processes and theory required.
