General Summary of Position

 The EVS Aide I is responsible for the appearance/cleanliness of Washington Hospital Center. Responsibilities include:

• Cleans common areas of MedStar Washington Hospital center to include restrooms (staff and public), waiting rooms, hospital entrances, corridors, elevators and landings, stairwells, staff locker rooms, offices, conference rooms, etc.; This activity includes, but is not limited to  pulling trash, high and low dusting, wiping exposed surfaces, replenishing appropriate supplies, dry and wet mopping, spot cleaning walls, and vacuuming.
• Performs; cleaning and changing mats, washing windows; washing and re-hanging cubical, window curtains, and vertical blinds; scraping residual paint from fixtures/equipment; and moving equipment, furniture, supplies/boxes.
• Stocks cleaning cart and/or supply closet(s).  May mix cleaning solutions from concentrated issue.
• Reports deficiencies in patient rooms and throughout WHC to shift supervisor and/or facilitates management for action.
  

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of three years directly-related experience may be substituted for educational requirement.

0-6 months work experience required.

This position has a hiring range of $17.938 - $24.67
