General Summary of Position
Department: Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology
Under the direction of the Director/Assistant Vice President/Vice President and in collaboration with Section Chairs and Nursing leadership, the Practice Manager manages and coordinates the daily operational activities of one or more ambulatory practices. Responsible for patient scheduling and registration, billing, insurance authorizations, and implementation of MedStar policies and procedures through direct supervision of subordinate staff. Oversees all administrative staff responsible for ensuring successful clinical operations. Responsible for fiscal and budget management, including billing processes as well as charge entry and reconciliation. Works closely with leadership to develop, implement, and sustain leading practice models for ambulatory practice management, including training, planning, coordination of shared services, facility management, and general operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration or directly related discipline required or
- Master's degree preferred
Experience
- 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience in hospital administration or management of a large business operation required
Licenses and Certifications
- Membership in a professional group such as MGMA and/or ACHE preferred
This position has a hiring range of $80,995 - $152,027
