General Summary of Position
Job Summary: MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is hiring an Administrative Coordinator for the OR Administration department. This role involves providing a range of administrative and secretarial support to ensure efficient management of department operations and personnel activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence, reports, and special projects, scheduling meetings, and maintaining staff communications.
- Handle payroll functions, including processing time sheets, payroll discrepancies, and paycheck distribution.
- Track and reconcile traveler and agency usage, including processing invoices and creating reports.
- Support new hires, transfers, and travelers with hospital and department onboarding processes.
- Maintain office equipment, supplies, and databases, and coordinate training as needed.
- Assist with staff health clearances, CPR, and licensure requirements.
- Manage purchase orders, expense authorizations, and other administrative tasks.
- Promote Patient Experience service standards and support Patient Safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required.
- 3-4 years of relevant administrative experience; prior experience as an administrative assistant preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word, with knowledge of file maintenance, database management, and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and professional demeanor in dealing with various personnel.
