General Summary of Position
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the fellowship program (general cardiology, accredited interventional and the EP programs). All issues concerning physicians-in-training should be directed to the academic coordinator. This position functions as the first line of contact and will be the liaison between the program director(s) and the graduate medical education director as well as other departments, divisions, fellows, residents, students, and medical observers. In addition, the academic coordinator oversees and coordinates all administrative matters relating to division chief.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required and
- Associate's degree preferred
Experience
- 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job related experience required
Licenses and Certifications
- No special certification, registration or licensure required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- PROBLEM SOLVING: Job requires a moderate level of problem-solving. However, the problems are usually not very complex. Standard methods, guides, and procedures are generally available.
- INTERNAL CONTACTS: Internal contacts necessary to effectively explain and interpret information for others inside the Hospital.
- INDEPENDENTJUDGEMENT: Work generally has standard procedures and instructions but frequently requires deviation from established methods to achieve results.
