- Nurse Navigator - Radiation Medicine - RN
- MUST START ON: 10/28, 11/4
- SHIFTS:1300-2100 and 1200-2030 rotating
- Office Duty: Chart Preparation, Disability Form, Pharmacy Calls. Telephone triage
- Starting IV's: Adults
- Primary Diagnoses: Primarily Cancer Patients
- Special Procedure: Radiation Treatment Center
- Patients are reporting Monday-Friday for radiation therapy. The nurse Navigators role is to provide care as needed to patients. The type of care radiation nurses provide: education, skincare/wound care, assessment of radiation toxicity, and social needs. Nursing may be called to assess any signs or symptoms of anything that is concerning and will consult with the proper channels, i.e. attending physician, resident, or emergency services.

- MUST HAVE DC LICENSE in Hand to submit
- Skills Required: Care and management of ports, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting IVs, Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage, Sepsis, Spinal Cord Compression, Neutropenic precautions, Tracheostomy care/management, External Radiation therapy (Teletherapy), Radiation safety precautions, Wound Care, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy
- Skills Preferred: Radiation Oncology
- Minimum 2 years Experience Required
- Must have completed 1 travel assignment/ screen if less
