Responsibilities
About the role:
Type: Full Time Salaried
Compensation: $134,000 - $202,000, plus a traget incentive bonus of 40%
Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States
Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:
The Business Development Vice President is responsible for selling Matrix's portfolio of offers into new accounts. As a part of this process, the Business Development team member applies defined targeting criteria to the market to identify target accounts, contact accounts, and represent Matrix's value proposition during sales discussion to build relationships and ultimately drive new logo sales. The Business Development Vice President reports to the SVP of Business Development who enables the Business Development Vice President with targeting criteria, a structured outreach process, and additional support as necessary.
The Business Development Vice President directs the execution of the business development vision and strategic plans to drive sales, increase revenue, and expand markets. Assists the Executive leadership to identify and evaluate new markets, channels, and customers. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Top Management.an experienced sales team member with the ability to build relationships quickly. In addition, the Business Development Vice President has a deep understanding of the In-Home Health Assessment Market and the characteristics that make Matrix unique in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of new Matrix's portfolio to targets in the marketplace.
- Identify potential targets for Matrix to pursue.
- Contact targets and create interest in Matrix's products and services.
- Involve key matrix team members and subject matter experts to support the sales process as necessary.
- Build relationships with targets while facilitating an understanding of Matrix's value proposition.
- Negotiate and close contracts that are favorable for Matrix.
- Review pricing tables and proposal language with finance, product and marketing teams for go-to-market proposals and pricing agreements.
- Orchestrate the contracting process through involving Matrix team members as necessary.
- Facilitate handoffs from the Business Development team to the Implementation and Client Success teams through transitioning relationships and sharing key information.
- Support the Client Success team in selling additional offers, services, and lines of business into existing accounts as requested.
- Work with Commercial Excellence to produce activity reports and works to ensure sales and productivity goals are achieved.
- Present sales information at company meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
