Responsibilities
About the role:
Type: Part-time Temporary (6 months)
Compensation: $22.11- $34.62/hr.
Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States
Hours: Part-time Days

What to Expect:
The Sr. People Operations Specialist will provide administrative support to Human Resources department by maintaining and updating the HR systems and processes in order to ensure data integrity and supports Matrix staff for their HR administrative needs for their employment lifecycle with Matrix. This position also assists with human resources policy and process development and oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains up to date HR policy and procedure documentation and recommends process improvements
- Interfaces with various internal departments such as HR Business Partners, Payroll, Recruitment, Credentialing as well as third party vendors
- Reviews and processes all submitted demographic and position data for employees / contractors using established approved guidelines and procedures
- Organizes tracks and monitors accurate and timely receipt, submission, and file maintenance of employee personnel files, changes, reviews, terminations, etc.
- Monitors compliance for all submissions in relation to company guidelines and standards
- Produces and distributes standard and ad hoc reports using appropriate reporting tools
- Conducts audits and maintains integrity of data systems and document files
- Helps with ongoing training and support of new and existing users on the HR system
- Participates in planning and testing of HR system conversions and updates
- Provides support and data audits for the Onboarding group
- Regularly audits compliance with I9 recertification
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state HR regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of HR processes, data and systems; UltiPro experience a plus
- Ability to drive processes forward in a clear, concise and appropriate manner
- An ideal candidate must have strong critical thinking ability, organizational, time management, and problem solving Must take ownership and accountability of processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task in a high-volume environment while adhering to strict deadlines
- Is action oriented and sees challenges as opportunities for growth and positive development of self, others and processes
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to excellent customer service and to developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external clients
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years recent experience as an HR Specialist in a high-volume environment
- Minimum 2-3 years of HR experience more policy/compliance
