Title and Summary
Vice President, Services Strategy – Product Technology Lead Mastercard (MA) Services is comprised of a unique portfolio of capabilities that leverage proprietary data, technology, insights and expertise to drive value for our customers. Services are a key differentiator for Mastercard's core payments business and an important growth engine for the company, generating over a third of MA's revenue and growing at a 20% CAGR.The Services Strategy team is a small, high performing group of strategy professionals that help drive growth, innovation and efficiency across all services, including fraud, cyber & identity, consumer acquisition & engagement, customer & market insights and open banking.
The Product Technology Strategy Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision at the intersection of SaaS, data analytics, and AI-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the (i) strategy lead for Product Technology and (ii) as the Technology go-to-person and contributor to Services Strategy projects impacting Technology
• Develop and execute a product technology strategy that enhances the company's SaaS data offerings and competitive advantage.
• Define a scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture that supports data-intensive applications and AI-driven insights
• Lead the adoption of cutting-edge cloud, AI/ML, and data engineering technologies to drive product differentiation, optimize product reliability and user experience.
• Align technology investments with customer needs, revenue growth, and market trends.
• Establish best practices for agile product development, DevOps, and continuous deployment, guide data security, compliance, and governance to meet regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, etc.).
• Stay ahead of SaaS, data analytics, and AI trends, evaluate potential M&A, partnerships, and third-party data integrations to enhance the product ecosystem
All About You
• Technology Visionary: Able to define and execute a data-driven technology roadmap, solving real business problems through technology
• 15+ years of experience in technology strategy, product management, or engineering leadership roles, with a strong focus on data-driven SaaS businesses.
• Proven track record of building and scaling SaaS data products with AI/ML capabilities. Expertise in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), big data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Spark), and AI-driven analytics. Experience in agile methodologies, DevOps, and data governance best practices.
• Strong financial and business acumen, with experience managing technology budgets and SaaS unit economics. Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security frameworks.
• MBA or advanced degree in computer science, data science, or business strategy.
