The Vice President Global Marketing for Mastercard Strategic Growth is member of the larger Global B2B & Product Marketing organization and works closely with the product & business team for Mastercard Strategic Growth to create marketing solutions for customers, governments and the public sector leveraging Mastercard's assets and marketing platforms and deliver a consistent and differentiated consumer/customer and stakeholder experience.

The Role:
The Vice President Global B2B Marketing for Mastercard Strategic Growth is responsible for shaping the marketing strategy and GTM marketing plans and to capture identified opportunities to build our brand within the public, non-profit and philanthropic sectors and fuel our business while creating strategic advantage. This includes increasing the attribution to Mastercard brand for ESG/government related themes and thought leadership and to advance our event strategy to extend our reach to meet audiences where they are: in person, out of home, as humans. The VP will focus on growing and nurturing customer relationships to drive leads and increase digital discoverability and to drive business impact integrating to our business priorities setting benchmark KPIs and consolidate measures of true impact: use insights to optimize strategies

The role comprises
• Development the marketing strategy and business impact drivers to fuse the philanthropic, public and commercial impact requirements.
• Establishing of a sophisticated performance and impact measurement approach
• Drive a culture of learning through creative/narrative testing, learning, sharing and optimizing across the full range of content distribution media channels and your own team members/ direct reports
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the local and regional marketing and business partners and ensure local objectives are aligned with Global marketing initiatives and cater to emerging opportunities
• Development and directing overarching external and internal engagement strategy including: stakeholder mapping; relationship management; producing high-quality events; digital, social and traditional media; content creation and dissemination
• Collaborates with leadership to maximize alignment among research, data philanthropy, programs and engagement teams
• Works collaboratively with corporate communications team to identify story angles and develop targeted influencer lists
• Play a central role with the Regional Marketing leads by supporting their efforts to drive scale in market while driving consistency of positioning and messaging, balanced with local relevance. Capture learnings and success stories to inform the development of global best practices
• Identify, develop, and fulfill Marketing activities and tactics that can most appropriately execute the strategy/ plan, considering unique and different objectives across individual business units, stakeholders, & partners
• Works collaboratively across the organization to develop and deploy brand building strategies
• Measures impact of engagement efforts to build scale and identify opportunities for greater efficiencies
• Informs creators of corporate thought leadership in the development of original content,
• Manage cross-functional teams to integrate Strategic growth priorities and activities and efforts into broader Mastercard efforts
• Manage budgets, analytics, and reports

About You:

• Passion for the Customer and consumer experience
• Brilliant interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including proven ability to create simple, compelling customer-facing narratives from complex, technical information
• Experience working in multiple areas of the Marketing function (Product Marketing, B2C and B2B Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Management, NGO Marketing etc.)
• Sensitivity for multi-cultural, diverse background and structure of the target audience and partners
• Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at local/ global/ regional levels
• Strategic mindset with ability to make quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations
• Preferred: Expertise in payment industry, cause-related/purpose driven initiatives
• Motivated self-driver, able to manage complex/multi-geography projects with a discipline for priority-setting and follow-through. Demonstrated curiosity, agility and rapid learning on new competitors, technologies, and products
• Extensive experience in owning and independently managing multiple investments and campaigns designed to meet business goals
• Proven track record of executing speaking engagements and creating core content
• Ability to communicate compelling value propositions to important audiences
• Capable of leading and marshalling resources for cross-organizational initiatives, such as professional development opportunities, ideation efforts and corporate social responsibility (CSR)
• Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to operate in a corporate environment
• Solid understanding of stakeholders (e.g. businesses, universities, research institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and foundations)
• Creative thinker possessing high level of comfort with fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization
• Combination of both private and public sector experience preferred

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
