Title and Summary
Product Manager, Marketing Services - EEMEA As Marketing Services (MS), the marketing strategy & execution arm of Mastercard, we aim to focus on differentiated scalable and digital offerings that leverages our unique data and marketing technology to accelerate campaign performance and associated outcomes. Our vision is to become the partner of choice for Issuers and Merchants leveraging our digital data-driven marketing performance products to drive our client's most profitable customer engagements and ultimately Mastercard preference with consumers.Through the transformation of the youngest and fastest growing MS region, EEMEA is seeking an experienced Marketing Services Product Manager. The candidates' superior understanding of the card portfolio growth drivers and important KPIs to track blended with experience in targeted, data-driven marketing campaigns in the North African and French speaking African markets will deliver better results for clients and create their reliance on MS.
We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in designing and executing portfolio optimization campaigns to manage cards business to drive portfolio growth.
Role & Responsibilities
- Grow the Marketing Services Revenue by supporting to design and implement efficient and scalable marketing solutions. These solutions include B2B2C product packages where we bring together different D&S solutions to support banks with end to end execution of spend campaigns to drive portfolio growth.
- Support defining and deploying the go-to-market strategy for Spend Engagement initiatives. Spend Engagement initiatives would cover a wide range of campaigns like activation, reactivation, retention, e-commerce, cross border, merchant partnerships.
- Drive growth of Spend Engagement campaigns in the region by working in full coordination with internal & external stakeholders to achieve region wide optimization KPIs.
- Support EEMEA MS Spend Engagement product strategy thinking, planning, resourcing, budgeting and rollout for campaigns/projects, as well as indirect oversight of their end to end delivery.
- Support EEMEA MS Spend Engagement P&L management – tracking and acting over the business important KPIs, such as Revenue, Margin and Expenses.
- Identify key partners, build relationship and secure differentiated offers and campaign constructs exclusive for Mastercard issuer specific engagements across North Africa.
- Support to manage merchant campaign pipeline in North Africa, partner with D&S Business Development, Advisors Client Services, Market Development, and Marketing teams to develop a plan to support regions' strategic imperatives through merchant partnerships.
- Work closely with Product and Business Development & Sales teams to monitor issuer's performance on growth indicators and develop strategies to improve performance.
- Develop strategies and solutions to automate lifecycle management activities for issuers covering different campaign types like EMOB/Activation, Spend Stimulation, Retention, Reactivation…
- Track optimization KPIs per issuer and decide on actions to improve overall portfolio performance.
- Solve analytical problems and execute solutions when evaluating campaign results and driving cross campaign learnings, diving into data points regarding bank & merchant business performance to find the areas of development to get the maximum value out of card portfolios.
- Develop 1 to many marketing solutions to help issuers drive portfolio growth with an automated targeting, collateral creation and campaign roll out process.
- Conduct customer and competitive LCM strategy and programs, as well as provide insight on short and long term market trends and reports.
Experience
- 7+ years business experience, particularly in a financial institution with a strong understanding of portfolio management/spend campaigns in the North African and French-speaking African markets
- A strategic expert in Below-the-Line (BTL) and data-led marketing, proven experience in spend stimulation campaigns that are precisely targeted and impactful. Familiarity with tailored, results-focused approaches to maximize spend is a must.
- In-depth expertise in the North African and French-speaking African markets with an advanced understanding of spend behaviors across these regions. This specialized knowledge is critical to drive targeted growth effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in running merchant-specific campaigns across North Africa and French-speaking Africa is essential. An established network and familiarity with the top merchants in these regions will be key to identifying growth opportunities and fostering high-impact collaborations
- Product Management, Marketing consulting and/or Card Portfolio Management experience driving products, strategy, execution, and measurement to run campaigns like EMOB, activation, engagement, retention…
- Ability to strategize, ideate, plan and execute ATL and BTL marketing strategies and campaigns as well as tracking and measuring results.
- Well versed in managing marketing and creative development processes end to end.
- Good knowledge of digital media platforms and digital marketing strategies to drive performance and ROI.
- Previous experience in a multi disciplinary digital/tech business is a plus.
- Good knowledge of the wide variety of digital, marketing, and sales best practices and their capabilities in creating a good customer experience.
- Should understand key P&L drivers and leveraging the relevant aspects to build effective business cases.
