The Mastercard Academy was established over 30 years ago to help Mastercard customers and partners gain the knowledge, skills and insights needed to succeed in the world of payments.
Over this time we have developed our training offering to include a range of topics and areas that keep pace with an ever changing world.

Through our many training programmes and events, customers can learn more about Mastercard's payment solutions and processes, and how to get the best from them. They can also find out more about the wider world of payments covering the latest trends and developments in digital and new payment channels. Our aim is to deliver learning experiences that are effective, impactful and enable our ambition to be the most innovative payments training organisation.

Role

The Mastercard Academy team in Europe is seeking a highly motivated and experienced training consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and sales of best-in-class training solutions for our customers through face-to-face events and AOW, in conjunction with the Academy faculty. Managing and influencing a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, through a consultative and client focused approach will enable the jobholder to be successful in the role. Some travel will be required within the role.

Working in close partnership with the internal and external stakeholders, the jobholder's responsibilities will include the following:

• Oversee the development and delivery of both new and existing Academy programs (F2F and AOW), including content creation and maintenance, interactive elements, and evaluation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and produce new training materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

• Oversee the recruitment, coaching, and feedback of the Academy Faculty, including managing a train-the-trainer program.

• Assist in executing the Academy strategy by continuously improving the effectiveness and quality of training solution design and delivery. Utilize and develop ad hoc tools and KPI metrics for assessment.

• Proactively manage the sales process for assigned new and existing Academy training solutions, targeting both internal and external clients.

• Discover and realize new revenue opportunities by targeting untapped customer segments, creating innovative training programs, and reaching new audiences for both F2F and remote training solutions.

• Engage in business development and thought leadership activities to ensure knowledge, best practices, and expertise are shared and leveraged across the organization.

• Promote the Academy's engagement with internal and external stakeholders to position it as a key partner and provider of education and training in the payments industry.

• Tasks and duties may be added and/or evolve due to the nature of the business.

The key skills and experience we are looking for within a successful candidate include:

• Experience working with or for various payment industry stakeholders in a customer-facing role.
• Demonstrable experience managing stakeholders at different levels, with the ability to influence and achieve results.
• Good knowledge of the payments industry and Mastercard
• Proven ability to manage the development and delivery of educational or training events, both face-to-face and remotely.
• Strong project management skills, capable of balancing multiple tasks, and building and executing plans on time and within budget.
• Customer-centric approach with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, with intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
• Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is desirable.
• Ability and willingness to travel to support training delivery.
