Summary:
Mastercard has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Partner Marketing, and work as a core part of the Canada Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team. The successful candidate will work closely with a range of Mastercard external partners (financial institutions, acquirers, and processors), internal cross-functional groups, and external agencies to build and deliver B2B and B2B2C marketing initiatives to drive mutually beneficial partner relationships.
The Role:
• Strategic lead for developing partner-specific marketing programs from ideation through execution and post market results tracking and analysis
• Collaborate with sales teams in delivering comprehensive planning sessions to our partners with the goal of identifying joint initiatives and partnering around mutual objectives
• Lead application and customization of Mastercard assets (consumer intelligence, brand, and other Mastercard marketing assets including but not limited to sponsorships and promotions) to address partner's stated business needs
• Work collaboratively with Mastercard's marketing agencies to develop compelling briefs for effective creative execution
• Champion the Mastercard brand and ensure all partner initiatives best leverage our brand personality, look and feel, and core values
• Participate in cross-functional teams that address the development and implementation of global and regional programs and services
• Proactively share with partners of Mastercard's ongoing marketing activity and priority areas, as well as thought leadership insights
• Support the sales teams in delivering enhanced marketing value through contribution to sales pitches
• Responsible for ideation and management of event activations aligned with partner priorities
• Participate in other areas of the Mastercard business, outside of the immediate scope of the IMC team, on a needs-based basis
All About You:
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• Sales-oriented and business development mindset, and a proven ability to drive revenue and meaningful business results
• A self-starter who can work independently to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail
• Strong relationship management skills, for the purpose of delivering marketing value and business growth to Mastercard
• Creative, strategic and agile thinker possessing high level of comfort with fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences
• Strong ability to manage senior audiences
• Ability to craft compelling strategic POVs by distilling complex ideas into clear, concise, and impactful narratives
• High proficiency in presentation development
• Experience in budget management
• Ability to understand partner needs and identify relevant solutions to address them
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize, multitask and manage to deadlines while being focused on delivering results
• Solid understanding of balancing and prioritizing needs of multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of financial technology & payments business is an asset. Fluency in French an asset
• Agency experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in account management, sales, business development is an asset.
