Title and Summary

Manager, Legal Compliance, MLRO Overview: MTS is a regulated Payment Institution authorised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
To support the growth in the business we need an MLRO to join the team to oversee the Compliance Program, develop and implement enhancements, review suspicious activity and submit reports to the local FIU.

About You - You will already have significant compliance experience, ideally gained in a regulated organisation, such as a bank or payment institution where cross border payments activity is part of the normal course of business. You will be familiar with the Singapore regulatory environment and the requirements involved in building out and maintaining a Compliance Program for a regulated business.
Ideally you have served as an MLRO in another organisation already and been approved by the MAS for such a role.
An ability to speak Mandarin would be preferred but is not essential.
You must be resident in Singapore with the ability to work there on a permanent basis.

The Role - Whilst part of a global team, this role requires a self starter who can build a network of colleagues in the APAC region as well as reaching out and establishing productive working relationships with customers, regulators and banks.

This role requires the exercise of pragmatic and mature judgement to balance risk and reward in a competitive business environment, including the ability to identify and implement efficient and effective controls to manage certain high risks customers

You will be responsible for the development of the compliance framework for MTS Singapore, including the Compliance Inventory, AML Policy, approval of new business customers, the review and submission of SARs/STRs and the co-ordination of the annual MAS Form 4 review.

Some travel in the region may be required.
