Title and Summary

Manager, Consumer Payments, Product Management Team and Role Overview

The Manager, Consumer Payments, is part of the Product & Innovation team. The individual will be responsible for overall performance of Mastercard's debit portfolios, which includes strategy setting, analysis and reporting, product development and management.

This role will be a key member of the Core Consumer products team and will be accountable for the Mastercard debit products, driving transaction volume, profitable revenue growth, actively collaborating with internal teams across Mastercard as well as external parties – issuing customers, merchants, strategic partners and fintechs – to build unique customer and consumer value propositions.

Specifically, this role will require the ability to work independently, demonstrate thought-leadership, use influencing skills and innovative approaches to product development, underpinned by strong analytical capabilities.

Role

- Drive product strategy by developing a deep understanding of the segment through benchmarking, competitive analyses, and research; recommending best practices; and generating profitability analyses and business cases.
- Support broader business to understand impacts of evolving regulatory environment on debit.
- Execute the strategy through structured product development methodologies and direct engagements with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work and partner across Product Delivery, Implementation, Loyalty, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Compliance and other teams to deliver solutions & support go to market plans.
- Work with the Account and Sales teams to build exciting customer pitches and presentations and deliver to customers.
- Monitor the landscape of competitive products and industry trends, understanding their implications for Mastercard and adjust the strategy and execution of the strategy and associated workstreams.
- Support Account Managers with analytical outcomes and plans to reduce costs and improve revenue at a product and issuer level.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships and cooperation with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver on our business targets.
- Support in managing the lifecycle of existing partnerships and benefits.

- Have business acumen with the ability to create and communicate solutions that meet real customer needs – excellent command of the relevant business tools such as excel and PowerPoint.

- Strategic thinker with outstanding communication skills on all levels.
