All About the Team
As a member of our sales team, you will be at the frontline of generating excitement and demand for our unique solutions while leading and partnering with other team members to this end. By identifying customer and prospect needs, qualifying sales opportunities, and building a pipeline of leads, you will orchestrate prospect discussions and demonstrations, directly contributing to the company's revenue and validating its place as a leader in the industry. You will be responsible for owning sales processes end-to-end: from prospecting to executing commercial contracts.

All About the Role
The Business Development Manager leads and orchestrates business development for Data & Services in South-East Europe with focus on Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, while also having a strategic role for the rest of the markets (Romania, Israel, Bulgaria). The individual will drive growth of our Retail & Commerce customer segment (e.g. retailers, oil& gas, apparel, sporting goods, airlines hotels, consumer & packaged goods companies).
Key tasks include:
- Leading Mastercard's Retail and Commerce business line for Serbia and
Croatia as an individual salesperson, supported by diverse teams in Advisors
and broader Mastercard
- Design, keep track and leverage efficiencies of full South East Europe Pipeline
for Retail & Commerce
- Thoughtful approach to scoping clients' challenges and creating relevant,
customized solutions, leveraging various Mastercard Advisors capabilities and
assets
- Ownership of sales process, from prospecting to executing commercial
contracts
- Working closely with management team members to move sales processes
into signed deals across the region.
- Showing outstanding individual performance while fostering a team oriented
environment within the Advisors group, and other functions in Mastercard
All About You
- Demonstrated excellence and career development in a sales role
- Proven self-starter with record of success in team oriented environment
- Sales experience preferably in data analytics, cyber security, professional
services and/ or IT platforms
- Demonstrated experience in developing & maintaining relationships, selling
solutions to c-level clients preferably in at least one of the following industries:
retail, travel, hospitality, telco, restaurants, CPG, technology company
- Passion for growing together, creating value and moving fast, all with highest
level of decency and inclusion
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral
- A proven aptitude for learning technical terms and developing an
understanding of complex technical solutions
- High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment
- Ability to effectively influence a diverse, multifunctional team to align with
shared goals and key focus areas, fostering collaboration and cohesion.
- Consulting skillset/ experience preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Fluency in English and at least one South-Eastern European language
