What we look for: Manager Retail & Commerce
Your role in 30 seconds:
The Manager Retail & Commerce is working in the team developing our Retail & Commerce Customer Segment in our German payments business. The role is strongly focused on identifying key technical and commercial trends relevant to acquirers, merchants and PSPs and developing solutions with our clients' organizations in the traditional payment as well as in digital segments. In order to drive the business of our clients, you will support your manager in reaching his / her goals, by exploring trends, building solutions and strategies and bringing key customers and partners on board.
Besides being a self-starter that easily connects with our partners you need to have a technological mindset and the willingness to go the extra mile with our clients to create compelling payment solutions.

Things you do in your role:
Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders! Develop and maintain strong relationships between external stakeholders (Acquiring banks, Merchants and Payment technology enablers) and internal teams (in market and central) that enable you to deliver on all of the below:
Identify key trends! Actively identify trends that shape the environment we operate in. Trends that are driven by technology as well as changing business models and consumer expectations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships between Mastercard and its customers and become the trusted advisors on technological developments.
Develop compelling solutions in partnership with Account teams in the market that are delivering superior value to customers and contribute to Mastercard's financial success.
Continuous development and execution of strategic framework for the German market, i.e. Definition of sales targets, Go-To-Market strategy, expanding Mastercard's footprint by winning new customers or by enlarging market share in existing client base.
Drive new flows to Mastercard! Driving sales, revenue generation and product expertise in highly competitive space.
Close & Scale! Ensure P&L and tactical targets are reached.
Manage complex future service pipeline and customized solutions to the customer, their shareholders and Mastercard
Background in payments and e-/m-Commerce favorable

Things we expect from you:
Experience in fast paced, technology centric environment including Payments, e-commerce, Retail, Financial Services and/or Consulting
The candidate will own the sales cycle from prospecting to acquisition, afterwards – ongoing development and management relationship with key clients/acquirers.

• Do you enjoy a varied workload and are you comfortable managing multiple tasks in parallel making prioritization decisions as needed to ensure successful delivery?

Fluency in German is a prerequisite as well as English
And yes, MBA or bachelor
You will be based in Germany (Frankfurt Office) and will need to travel occasionally
Background in sales, technology, and/or financial services favorable
