Lead Technology Risk Analyst Job Title: Technology Risks & Controls ManagerOverview
Technology Risks & Controls (TR&C) is a key component of Mastercard's three lines of defense model, enabling first-line technology risk management through implementation of risk and control methodology and best practices, control advisement and monitoring, and assurance to external stakeholders (i.e., regulators and customers).
The Role
The Technology Risks & Controls Manager is responsible for managing the development of the Evidence Management System (EMS) and implementing suitable governance to support a strong compliance culture. This role will report directly to the Technology Risks & Control Vice President – EMS.
Responsibilities include:
Operationalize the EMS execution plan to launch a tool-agnostic baseline centralized repository for Technology to support compliance requirements through alignment with best risk management practices.
Establish and manage the EMS Steering Group from across the Technology verticals to ensure all internal stakeholders have the opportunity to define their requirements and integration needs.
Build collaborative relationships across Technology to define the prioritization of the Technology Controls Framework domains.
Partner with the Technology Project Manager to ensure a thorough roadmap is produced for 2025 and 2026, including further expansion opportunities such as enabling self service options and enhanced package content.
Collaborate with the Systems Architect to identify the relevant tool(s) for data ingestion from multiple sources.
Create regular Executive Updates to report on progress in accordance with the agreed roadmap.
Support the development of the governance framework including the development of an Evidence Management Standard.
Identify opportunities to enhance the EMS with AI capabilities to improve compliance requirements.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
All About You
Strong engineering or technology background, ideally with experience working on large data projects.
Ability to connect both on an individual level and in large groups and drive accountability in cross-functional teams
Proficiency in stakeholder management and ensuring crisp updates that are tailored to specific audiences.
Knowledge of sound governance requirements and implementing new standards.
Demonstrates problem solving skills, sound business judgment, and creative resourcefulness
Has an ability and drive to perform independently and comfortable with remote management
Results-proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation
Highly developed presentation, facilitation, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Risk mindset with ability to think outside the box and affect change across the organization
Displays a leadership presence and ability to earn trust
Collaborative and team-oriented work style
