Title and Summary

Lead Software Engineer Overview:
Mastercard's Corporate Solutions team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with strong background in mobile development, specifically in iOS to join our team. As Lead Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. This position involves hands-on coding, technical leadership, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive mobile innovation, ensure performance, and maintain scalability.

Role:
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of applications, for the iOS platform, ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, complex issues, and optimization opportunities.
• Conduct rigorous unit testing to ensure code robustness and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Develop and maintain iOS libraries, frameworks, and reusable components.
• Drive code reviews, establish coding standards, and foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
• Support the entire application lifecycle: from design and testing to release and post-launch maintenance.
• Stay updated on the latest iOS technologies and trends, recommending enhancements to keep our mobile offerings cutting-edge.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers to uphold code quality and project goals.
• Collaborate with cross functional team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

All About You:
• Extensive experience in mobile app development, specifically iOS, with proven experience in Swift, Objective-C, React Native, and Kotlin.
• Experience in secure software development and iOS application architecture.
• Solid understanding of Cocoa Touch, Core Data, UIKit, Flutter, and Core Foundation.
• Experience deploying iOS apps/SDKs and working with RESTful APIs for backend integration.
• Deep familiarity with encryption standards, mobile security models, and emerging iOS technologies.
• Strong background in Agile development and code versioning tools like Git and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of design thinking tools like Figma and Apple's interface guidelines for UI/UX excellence.
• Proven ability to manage the full mobile development lifecycle, optimize performance, and solve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Arlington, Virginia: $159,000 - $254,000 USD Atlanta, Georgia: $138,000 - $221,000 USD
