Title and Summary

Lead Product Manager- Technical Overview
• Responsible for developing inspiring platform/product visions, derived from business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends
• Using the Working Backwards method, decomposes business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap
• Works with Technical Program Managers, Developers, UX designers, and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements
• Collects and shares user stories with engineering teams
• Acts as the voice of the business customer and related market facing product teams.

Responsibilities
• Coordinates and participates in review; revisions; changes; enhancements; testing; documentation; and member notification of product enhancements and/or business opportunities
• Provides business knowledge and technical support for story development
• Maintains internal Story Library on Confluence and ensures all repetitive development stories have a template created for use by all PMTs across SMS Batch
• Works closely with developers and requesters to identify data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems
• Ensures development stories meet business objectives; user testing is performed; and member notification is prepared in a timely fashion
• Participates in the review of business requirements during project kickoff to determine primary functions that the project is to provide
• Ensures timely and accurate communication with development and other internal staff throughout the life cycle of the project
• Participates in customer communication draft creation and reviews for accuracy prior to publication for product enhancements and business opportunities. Raises concerns in a timely manner to ensure clarity in our message to the customer.
• Oversees PBI process, including grooming, coordinating with internal partners to set priorities; manages backlog and ensures closure in Remedy upon implementation.
• Maintains accurate data in Domo and ensures any cleanup actions are completed in a timely manner to promote good team metrics.
• Creates and maintains internal Release Burndown charts in Excel on a regular cadence to assist senior management and partner teams in assessing available team capacity
• Uses the Working Backwards method, decompose business requirements and prioritize into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap
• Works with Technical Program Managers, Developers, UX designers, and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements Owns the working backwards document and vision for feature releases
• Identifies gaps and charters new platform capabilities as required
• Compares features for competitive review to inform prioritization within a platform product release
• Exhibits expertise within platform feature area and coordinates with interdependent teams
• Digests business customer requirements (user stories, use cases) and platform requirements for a platform feature set
• Has visibility into the design of the user experience
• Continuously monitors feature development at the story level
• Reviews product demo with the development team against acceptance criteria for the feature set
• Maintains the grooming backlog for operational health efforts
• Stays aligned with GTM plans for the feature set
• Identifies issues that will keep the stories from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and communicates to leadership
• Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and provides feedback
• Works with internal teams to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues
• Develops and implements new internal Defect Dashboards and works with development teams implement process improvements
• Develops and implements new Work Views in ALM to aid in release planning and project management
• Coordinates internal partners to collect and identify feature-level development opportunities
• Establishes a network within the organization; begins to build internal and external networks
• Mentoring team members and provides ad-hoc training on applications upon request

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
