Title and Summary

Executive Assistant Overview

The Senior Business Assistant supports the Lead Counsel for Mastercard Processing who is located at Mastercard's headquarters in Purchase, New York along with other attorneys at headquarters supporting other groups within MasterCard's Law Department as determined by Mastercard. Mastercard Processing is a global organization and the Lead Counsel has a team of approximately 20 people located in multiple locations. Overall responsibilities include general day-to-day management of office operations for the attorneys supported, ensuring operational efficiencies and liaising and coordinating across the global Mastercard Processing business.

Role

• Support executive presentations and preparation of detailed legal documentation as required – editing, proof reading, printing.
• Manage reporting requirements which include a variety of information feeds from the team and reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
• Manage busy calendars of the Lead Counsel primarily ensuring coordination across that team as needed, and provide assistance to the other designated attorneys
• Manage team meeting scheduling, organization, agenda preparation, room logistics and pre-read distribution along with a busy travel schedule
• Prepare expense reports for approval
• Make travel arrangements for domestic and international trips as needed, prepare expense reports following the trip
• Assist with new hire on-boarding process in conjunction with HR

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal with executives and team members that are located in multiple time zones and from diverse cultural backgrounds on a professional and solutions oriented basis.
• Trusted and accountable self-starter with sound judgment and prioritization skills capable of maintaining focus on both immediate tasks and longer term goals and deliverables without significant supervision.
• Ability to exercise discretion and appropriately handle confidential information
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to manage and understand numerous internal computer systems
• Ability to manage working for a variety of attorneys who are not all on the same immediate team therefore requiring strong verbal and written communication and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent customer service skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Intense attention to detail and pride of ownership, ensuring that uncertainties are addressed and projects completed with minimal review cycles
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and execute upon multiple commitments
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite including strong Word and PowerPoint skills and good Excel skills. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
