Summary
The Partner Interfaces Global Product team is looking for a Director - Product Development to take responsibility for selected MDES functions and use cases. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated intellectually curious, analytical, and be adept at working within a high change / fast paced environment.
In this position you will:
* Pro-actively identify new requirements including justification for development / proving business case.
* Partner with engineering teams to develop new functionality or incrementally enhance existing features on the MDES platform.
* Undertake Platform Service owner responsibilities for some areas of the MDES platform
Role responsibilities include:
* Services and Feature ownership – own selected aspects of the MDES platform or specific business functions from inception to delivery, including the accurate capture of business and technical requirements, reporting on progress.
* Supporting Commercialization activities – support commercialization activities including definition of on-boarding / configuration of new MDES Services, legal activities, data privacy and adherence to corporate policies.
Responsibilities
Drives MDES platform enhancements including exploration of new features, contributing to Product and Service strategy, and partnering with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver new solutions that drive incremental revenues for Mastercard by bringing value to Mastercard customers.
Demonstrates a full understanding of market dynamics including Regulatory, Legal, Competitive and Technology landscapes
Evaluates and prioritizes Global and/or regional platform enhancement ideas, and determines with which projects to initiate the development intake process
Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders in Legal, Data Privacy, Delivery, Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc. to ensure that the new platform features and enhancements have a robust go-to-market plan focused on speed of implementation and scale.
Partner with Servicing teams (e.g., GCC, CTS, Biz Ops) to ensure that the new Platform features have a robust E2E servicing plan that enables a great end user and customer experience
Partners with Product Management to Commercialize new Products, providing a seamless handover supported by a robust 18-month road map including CX, Revenue, and Product Quality enhancements
Drive institutionalized knowledge using consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents)
Drive a continued focus on quality through the championing of Mastercard API standards
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences
Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviors through their behavior, recognition, coaching, and employee engagement.
Experiences
Experience in overseeing the development of API services and the deployment of those services to customers.
Experience building winning business cases by formulating quality epics (objectives) and translating them into stories (key details)
Experience conducting product demonstrations and presenting compelling product propositions at external industry events for key stakeholders/audience
Strong track record at synthesizing products and services from multiple functional areas into value propositions that align with regional or local customer needs
