Title and Summary
Director, Product Development OverviewMastercard Developers is the single entry point for Mastercard partners to access a diverse range of payment, data, loyalty, and security APIs. Our team is responsible for delivering an experience that ensures developers can quickly find the right API, assess its technical capabilities, and integrate it into new and innovative solutions. The Mastercard Developers team is looking for a product developer to join our team to drive, enhance and scale our developer platform.

Major Responsibilities
• Drive the end-to-end product development and delivery lifecycle through collaboration with an international cross functional team including engineering, QA, UX and infrastructure teams.
• Take customer requirements and develop impactful, scalable platform features that deliver value and help progress our API strategy.
• Serve as product ‘ambassador' articulating the strategy, roadmap, and value proposition with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Execute our strategy, drive feature adoption and platform usage through structured product development methodologies and direct engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to a multi-year roadmap working closely with key internal/market stakeholders and external partners to set prioritization.
• Identify, track and own key performance indicators for the API program.
• Responsible for providing updates to Senior and Executive Management on status of high visibility initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the product development team: coaching, hiring, setting objectives, obtaining resources, overseeing task completion, and reporting progress, accomplishments and hurdles to management.
All About You
• Experienced product leadership, including roadmap ownership, prioritization, and go-to-market planning.
• Experience conceptualizing and delivering global platforms to market and managing multi-year initiatives.
• Experience in the B2B, API, or payments/financial services space is critical; a background in building products for a technical audience is also highly preferred.
• Have a technical foundation through either a Computer Science/Engineering degree or professional programming background.
• A level of leadership and accountability with a strong drive to achieve and exceed objectives, while maintaining a core of flexibility and collaboration.
• Have strong communication skills and demonstrated consistent success working closely with a global team and partners across other functions.
• A questioning and curious nature that facilitates an environment of open feedback and continuous improvement.
