Title and Summary

Director, Financial Planning & Analysis • The Director, Finance Business Partner, will be part of a global finance business partner team that supports the Executive Vice President of Business & Market Insights and the Chief Innovation Officer (incl. Foundry) & respective teams in reaching the strategic & operational objectives of the function.
• The team provides financial analysis to the Global Product Leads (incl. forecasting, planning and analysis, reporting, business case development, white space analysis & process improvements) as well provide support to the Regional BMI Leads to help drive the BMI business to achieve continued revenue growth.
• The Director will be responsible for developing and managing relationships in a complex matrix organization with business partners at multiple career levels in the organization,

Role

• Support the achievement of the overall BMI Business Case by developing/tracking KPIs and ROI metrics; opportunity business case review, pipeline tracking, revenue forecasting/recognition, expense management, and identifying opportunities & mitigating risks, while ensuring all financial (including revenue and margin) implications are top of mind in all strategic and operational decisions,
• Support the development of the annual BMI financial budget & divisional 3/5-year CAGR revenue growth plans where appropriate.
• Evaluating business proposals including strategic investment asks with financial rigor and a value-creation philosophy.
• Provide strategic financial input into pricing decisions to support a value-based pricing approach.
• Provide a laser focus and understanding when building and maintaining a highly accurate revenue and margin forecast that aligns with corporate reporting timelines and expectations.
• Support existing and identify new revenue growth initiatives through (for example) White Space analysis to identify new customer opportunities / target existing MA customers not yet penetrated by BMI.
• Interfacing with other finance / operations functions to track and report on Employee Sales Productivity by region and product line to drive further productivity efficiencies.
• Interacting with Compensation function to ensure optimal use of commission plans across sales team to deliver continuous revenue growth and sales productivity improvements.
• Interpret competitor, industry and economic analysis to benefit future growth and BMI investments.
• Engage in ongoing cost optimisation / efficiency initiatives to ensure that the BMI function continues to identify and achieve margin improvements across all lines of business, including further offshoring, grants etc.
• Coordinating with Controllers and Tax on financial accounting, treatment of differing revenue streams/opportunities, and tax implications of initiatives and statutory reporting as required.
• Ensure accounting and financial controls and policies are applied consistently throughout the BMI function.

All About You

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field (Master's preferred),
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail, coupled with the ability to have a big picture strategic perspective,
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills; ability to distil and present information to senior audiences/clients in person and virtually.
• Ability to influence and work collaboratively and cross functionally across multiple locations,
• Team player, proactive, agile and able to deliver within agreed deadlines,
• Strong business & commercial acumen to support growth of the business
• Track record building and managing internal and external business partnerships,
• Keen sense of urgency and results driven orientation,
• Ability to develop and execute against clear action plans, both over short and longer terms,
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize workloads.
• Prior experience in financial planning, analysis & forecasting or related Finance field,
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and experience extracting insights from data,
• Understanding of accounting concepts and,
• Work and operate independently
