Title and Summary
Director, Data Governance Integration Overview:Mastercard's Data Governance & Regulation (DG&R) team is seeking a seasoned Director Data Governance Integration to lead the technical integration of our recent acquisition into our data and analytics ecosystem. This role focuses on aligning software engineering excellence with data governance, data privacy, and access control principles. As a key leader, you will drive critical initiatives, collaborate across multiple workstreams, and ensure the successful integration of data governance requirements into our technology landscape.
Role:
• Oversee and manage the seamless integration of the acquisition's technology and opportunities with DG&R's data and analytics infrastructure.
• Ensure integration efforts adhere to data governance, data privacy, data lineage, cataloging, and access control requirements, maintaining compliance and scalability.
• Partner closely with workstreams including legal, privacy, technology, and business teams to address and integrate data governance priorities.
• Provide management direction, propose strategic recommendations, and influence policies to ensure alignment with the organization's long-term integration goals.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of senior technical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, open communication, and high performance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, processes, and tools to optimize the integration process and enhance the organization's data and technology capabilities.
About You:
• Strong understanding of software engineering, data governance, data privacy, and their intersection.
• Extensive experience in software engineering, data governance, or related fields, with a strong focus on leadership roles.
• Familiarity with data cataloging, privacy compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and governance technologies is highly desirable.
• Hands-on knowledge of software development tools, data platforms, and governance solutions.
• Proven experience leading complex software engineering initiatives, particularly those involving data integration and governance.
• Ability to translate complex technical and governance challenges into actionable plans and deliver effective results.
• Track record of leading and managing senior technical staff, motivating direct and indirect reports, and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Advanced knowledge of business functions, with the ability to align technical solutions with broader organizational priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
