Director, Account Management - Community Institutions Our North America Community Institutions segment is looking for dynamic, strategic, and consultative professionals to join our team. We are building a diverse workforce of world-class relationship managers, problem-solvers, and technologists who thrive in a fast-paced environment.Our team focuses on differentiating through customer intimacy, product strength, and partnership orientation. We aim to deliver value to our strategic partners by offering customized payment solutions and comprehensive consulting support. This includes growing existing business and driving new growth opportunities by selling value added services.
The Role:
As an Account Manager for Community Institutions, you will:
· Build Strong Relationships: Establish and develop deep relationships with clients across multiple product lines and levels of management.
· Understand Customer Needs: Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, pain points, and goals, and develop tailored account plans to address them using Mastercard's products and solutions.
· Collaboration & Teamwork: Partner internally and externally with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets, drive market share growth, and deliver exceptional service to clients.
· Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of client contracts, ensuring that resources and information are shared effectively across teams.
· New Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, aiming for significant growth and a strong return on investment.
· Consultative Leadership: Provide industry and Mastercard insights to clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor in alignment with segment specialties.
What We Are Looking For:
· Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and grow strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders and executives at all levels.
· Strategic Thinking: Strong business judgment, with established strategic and conceptual thinking and planning skills.
· Proven Sales Expertise: Demonstrated track record in planning, managing, and closing complex sales efforts, and managing projects to successful completion.
· Problem-Solving & Analysis: Excellent financial and P&L acumen, strong analytical skills, and a history of creating solutions that drive revenue growth.
· Self-Starter: Highly organized, collaborative, and results-driven, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.

· You are intellectually curious and proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business.
· You have experience preparing proposals, RFPs, and negotiating contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
