Location Newton-Wellesley Hospital main campus (2014 Washington Street, 2nd floor, in Newton, MA) Schedule We are seeking a Full-time, 40-hour LPN to support Multispecialty Surgery onsite Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Role Overview Dedicated to clinical support, our nurses provide professional nursing care while collaborating with providers, staff, patients and families. Responsibilities may Include: - Responds to and prioritize incoming telephone calls, and triage appropriately. - Communicates with patients and family regarding medications, test results, and treatment instructions. - Schedules and facilitates care for urgent needs. - Observes, records and reports patient's condition and plan of care to the physicians/provider. - Documents all patient interventions per unit protocols. - Participates in patient safety and quality improvement activities. - Acts as an advocate for patients and families. Qualifications When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies, but also positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work. The ideal candidate profile is an experienced, adaptable LPN who is confident in their clinical abilities and genuinely enjoys variety. - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required - Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required - CPR training required - Previous LPN experience, preferably in a community-based ambulatory setting preferred - Colorectal experience preferred
