Night Shift 
7pm-7am (Weekends, 12 hours per week)

Job Summary

Performs neurodiagnostic studies to include; electroencephalograms (EEG's), extended EEG's, LTEM (Long Term Epilepsy Monitoring) and nerve conduction studies' (NCS's) utilizing various monitoring equipment and recording observations to collect diagnostic patient data to aid in the diagnosis of neurological and neuromuscular diseases and disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year of Previous Work Experience in Neurodiagnostics
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): In Lieu of 1 Year of Previous Work Experience in Neurodiagnostics, Will Consider Those Who Have Successful Completion of a Neurodiagnostic Program (Duration of Program Must Be No Less Than 12 Months to Qualify and is Subject to Director Review/Approval)
Required Certifications/Licensure: Infant/Child and Adult BLS.
Required Training: None.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Dresses neatly and professionally according to Hospital and Departmental dress codes.
  • Demonstrates competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for the following patient populations: Infant (Birth to 1 year), Child (1 year through 12 years), Adolescent (13 years through 17 years), Adult (18 through 65 years), Geriatric (over 65 years).
  • Performs all neurodiagnostic procedures per physician order accurately, timely and in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
  • Utilizes, maintains, calibrates and troubleshoots all equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Monitors quality of tests performed and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Embodies those behaviors, philosophies and values which serve to uphold the ideals and enhance the image of Lexington Medical Center.
  • Works in a cooperative manner which fosters favorable relations between employees and patients, patients' families, visitors, fellow employees, and the medical staff.
  • Maintains CEU's as required by credentials and/or any accrediting bodies over the lab.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
