Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care environment. The Manager recruits, hires, and oversees orientation and training for all staff within the modalities of oversight. Operational responsibilities include all aspects of maximizing patient flow, and optimizing the work environment to facilitate open communications and professional excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity in a healthcare setting.
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): A Bachelor's Degree with 2 Years of experience can be substituted for 5 years of experience in hospital radiology services, which includes 2 years of supervisory experience
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: None.

Essential Functions
  • Manages all administrative and operational functions associated with the modalities of oversight to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Oversight responsibility includes inventory control, personnel management, patient relations, and patient flow.
  • Develops and implements new procedures as necessary to improve office flow and overall operations. Provides recommendations and follow-up actions to operational inefficiencies.
  • Manages the daily operations of the modalities including staff scheduling, charge capture reconciliation, and other related operational "checks and balances."
  • Works with Director to ensure  denials are minimized and customer service is exemplified.
  • Interviews, hires, orients, trains, supervises and evaluates staff. Responsible for optimizing staffing resources, scheduling staff, assigning work, as well as ensuring consistent performance remediation actions, where and when applicable.
  • Works to ensure that the modalities and support areas stay within budget parameters. Prepares reports and statistical summaries for the Director as requested. Provides monthly reporting recommendations or action plans on any issues.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance where applicable to include DNV, DHEC, ACR, HIPAA, and payer regulations.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that the office is staffed appropriately.
  • Helps staff establish deadlines for work assignments and completion. Monitors work status and progress.
  • Assists staff in understanding/implementing clinical policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and returns invoices in a timely manner.
  • Ensures compliance with LMC's Service Expectations policy related to treatment of patients and other visitors as well as staff.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
