As you provide EEG monitoring according to physician's orders, you will be extending professional, expert care to the patients we serve.

Responsibilities

Under the general technical supervision, the EEG Technologist II independently performs electroencephalography (EEG), long-term monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME), continuous EEG monitoring (cEEG) and ambulatory monitoring. Provides findings and a descriptive analysis according to department procedures. Works with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations on inpatient units and in the outpatient laboratory. May also perform Evoked Potentials (EP) or intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) as appropriate based on competence. Requires ability to work at all Legacy hospitals, float between sites during shift and to take night, weekend and holiday call as scheduled.



Qualifications

Education: High School graduate and graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program, or an Associate's degree or higher with an emphasis on physical or biological science from an accredited college or university or equivalent training.

Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in performing electroencephalography in a clinical setting or through an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program required.

Skills: Strong communication skills and working proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic systems.
