- Min 1 year PCU/Tele exp
- ACLS, BLS, NIH required
- PCU is a 48-bed cardiac telemetry unit
- We primarily receive patients from the ED, cath lab and other inpatient units
- Nurse to patient ratio is 4:1 and can go to 5:1 depending on unit needs
- Utilization of PCAs (CNAs) and LPNs in a team nursing approach
- Fast paced unit with quick patient turnover
- In need of nurses who are comfortable taking care of patients on drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, lasix and insulin
- Must have post cardiac cath procedure experience
- We expect timely discharge of our patients, hourly rounding and bedside shift report completed on all patients
- Floating is required if needed
- Every other weekend coverage
- Scheduling is based on unit needs

- Must be AHA Provider Certification (Instructor card now acceptable); RQI Acceptable

- Check under 'Other' and 'Additional Skills' for Stroke and Trauma CEUs requirements
- Stroke CEUs must be completed prior to start, or within a week of start if pending, and must be renewed annually
