POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing plant equipment. Perform PMs, and complete work orders. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based out of our Springdale, Arkansas location. 


Shift: 6pm-6:30am 

Primary Responsibilities include:

 

  • Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled per the maintenance system as directed or assigned, documents actions taken within required time frame. 
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and creates work orders to perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during machine service.
  • Perform skilled repair services and installation of equipment including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics and mechanical functions.
  • Attends to facility maintenance service calls, diagnoses repair, and corrects problems following acceptable practices. 
  • Proactively identifies and communicates improvements needed on equipment and or facility.
  • Work in conjunction with operations staff on daily operational issues and continues improvement.
  • Can perform full rebuilt of equipment as assigned and has performed PMs on 85% of operational equipment.
  • Can manage communication and approval of sub-contractor work on facility or equipment.
  • Identifies parts needed for replacement and places request orders as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance to company requirements.
  • Creates and completes all work orders for work performed in accordance with process and established safety procedures. 
  • Can perform REV size changes on required equipment. 
  • Maintains clean and organized common facility areas maintenance/repair areas.
  • Perform daily shift report on status of work performed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

 

  • Five to ten years of industrial maintenance experience 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Boiler Operator License, or ability to gain license within 1 year.
  • CARO Refrigeration Certification, or ability to gain license within 1 year.
  • Electrical License, or ability to gain license within 4 years.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food/beverage industry a plus
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment a plus
  • Ability to direct, coach and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

 

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

 

FREQUENT:  Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility.   Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

 

OCCASIONAL:  Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program.  Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals. Respiratory fit test required.

 

VISION:  Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction.  Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

 

HEARING:  Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.  Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
