Job Title: Temporary Warehouse Records Clerk
Location: Jessup, MD 20794
Duration: 2 months Temporary
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay rate: $20 an hour with weekly pay on Friday's
Job Description:
We are seeking a Temporary Warehouse Records Clerk to join our team at our Records Management Center. This position is needed to cover for an employee who is currently on medical leave. As a Warehouse Records Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving and verifying the transfer of State agency records, organizing the records based on State Records location coordinates, and preparing boxes for destruction or transport by the recycling contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify the transfer of State agency records
- Identify and remove boxes approved for destruction
- Organize agencies' individual records/cases based on State Records location coordinates
- Stack boxes on pallets and shrink wrap them for transport by the recycling contractor
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50lb. boxes
- Comfortable working at heights of 20 ft.
- Experience handling government records
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience performing warehouse work
- Familiarity with warehouse technology, including personnel lifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Strong teamwork skills
