What's a typical day as Warehouse Manager? You'll be:
  • Supervising warehouse staff in their daily activities
  • Liaising with service departments, sales, and production managers to ensure timely turnaround of finished parts
  • Maintaining a clean and organized parts warehouse and following all corporate safety guidelines
  • Establishing inventory controls to ensure the accuracy of finished goods material flow to production
  • Creating and updating policies and procedures to maximize inventory security and minimize loss
  • Organizing trash disposal, metal recycling, and surplus material management
  • Ensuring receivers check all daily incoming shipments against packing slips
  • Overseeing that shippers verify all daily shipments to customers against packing slips
  • Filing freight claims for shortages or damaged parts within 24 hours
  • Managing finished part kitting activities and ensuring timely provision to production
  • Ensuring timely fulfillment of aftermarket parts orders and handling expedited shipments per customer requests
  • Leading regular departmental meetings to maintain open communication
  • Addressing and managing Performance Improvement Plans within the warehouse department
  • Supporting activities between Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality Control/Quality Assurance
  • Establishing goals for team members and providing necessary training and delegation

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have an associate's degree (preferred) or a High School education with equivalent experience
  • Possess seven years of related experience in the manufacturing industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hold a current and valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurance guidelines
  • Are familiar with ERP business systems software related to the area of responsibility
  • Can use a keyboard and 10-key by touch
