We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to work at Owens & Minor, a leading US provider of home healthcare equipment in Mechanicsburg, PA. Why should you consider a position as a Warehouse Lead?
Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM+ overtime (typically communicated in advance)
Pay Rate: $21.87 per hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate documentation and routing for incoming and outgoing freight
  • Prepare and review shipping documents including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices
  • Schedule and assign shipments to loaders; verify inbound and outbound appointments
  • Create manual BOLs and billing using applicable tariffs
  • Ensure shipments are accurate, timely, and compliant with transportation regulations
  • Communicate with carriers, brokers, yard jockeys, and security regarding trailer placement and load status
  • Investigate issues involving lost, damaged, or missing merchandise
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions
  • Collaborate with logistics, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Promptly direct inbound freight and ensure accurate receiving documentation

Qualifications:
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving or a related logistics role preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
  • Strong math, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn company systems and software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; assistance provided for heavier items
  • Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
