Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Gastonia, NC
Position Type: Temp to Hire


Position Summary:
The Warehouse Distribution Associate has overall responsibility for receiving and moving materials within the warehouse. An integral part of the team, the  Warehouse Distribution Associate verifies the inventory quantity and assists in inventory level maintenance, maintains complete and accurate paperwork, and operates warehouse equipment safely.

Primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Distribution Associate include:

• Marks pallets with identifying store information.
• Uses lift equipment (manual pallet jacks for Worldpac or Forklift (Advance Auto will certify)) as needed once training and certification are completed.
• Picks and stages parts for store replenishment.
• Uses a hand-held radio frequency device (RF Scanner).
• Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Uses basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Shift Requirements:

• Monday - Friday, 6am to 4pm
• Flexibility to help on other shifts is a nice-to-have.
• Required Overtime, including weekends and holidays, may be requested with little notice.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member:

• Is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear.
• Is frequently required to stop, kneel, crouch, or stoop.
• Is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Items heavier than 50 lbs will be moved with the assistance of Pallet Jack (WP) or Forklift (AAP).
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member:

• Bending/Stooping and reaching into stationary totes to retrieve product.
• Standing/walking for extended periods.
• May be exposed to moving mechanical parts while operating manual pallet jacks or forklift trucks.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high at times.
