Job Opportunity: Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator – Penn Yan, NY

Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring Warehouse Associates/Forklift Operators for a leading food manufacturing company in Penn Yan, NY. If you're looking for a rewarding career with a great company, we've got the perfect opportunity for you!

Pay: $18.50 – $19/hr. Temp to Hire

Schedule: Rotating Shifts

  • Days: 7am - 7pm
  • Overnights: 7pm - 7am
  • Enjoy 3-day weekends every other week with no more than 3 consecutive workdays!

What You'll Do:

  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored in proper locations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, conduct cycle counts, and update records as required. Ensure all products are stored and rotated according to company guidelines.
  • Loading & Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks, delivery vehicles, and pallets. Ensure items are handled and stored safely to prevent damage.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders, ensuring products are accurately selected and prepared for shipment. Use scanners to verify product codes and quantities.
  • Product Handling: Handle and organize raw materials and finished products, ensuring they are stored and processed according to safety standards and company specifications.
  • Quality Control: Check for product quality, ensuring that all items meet company standards before they are packed and shipped.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to strict safety protocols at all times, including the use of PPE and following all operational procedures. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Report any equipment issues, including forklift malfunctions, and assist with minor troubleshooting.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside team members to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and contribute to achieving team goals.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, forklift operation, or the food industry is preferred but not required. Forklift certification is a plus!
  • Safety Mindset: Must be committed to following all safety procedures and maintaining a high standard of workplace safety.
